By using new innovative concepts, applications and devices supported by disruptive 5G technologies, including Internet of Things (IoT), data analytics, next generation traffic management, Cooperative, Connected and Automated Mobility (CCAM) and the EU 5G logistics corridor, 5G-LOGINNOV aims to pave the way towards efficient freight and traffic operations at ports and logistics hubs.
Futhermore, the project will develop and deploy Next Generation ports & logistics hubs operation system architecture integrated in 5G networks at three main ports in Europe: Athens , Hamburg and Koper.
At these ports 5G-LOGINNOV will
- Optimise ports and logistics hubs operation and maintenance,
- Reduce significantly ports and logistics hubs operation emissions.
- Regulate the freight traffic generated by ports and logistics hubs on future 5G logistics corridors in EU.
- Boost ports & logistics hubs operation and maintenance innovation with involvement of new market actors including SMEs and Start-ups.
